Welcome to Alamo

It is a quiet, rural, and prosperous community situated along the Hwy-680 South of Walnut Creek and North of Danville. Alamo’s location along Hwy-680 offers convenience to those commuting to Walnut Creek, San Francisco, or back and forth to other Bay Area cities.

Alamo is one of several affluent communities along the Hwy-680 corridor where a quiet pace of life, excellent schools, and small-town atmosphere attract well-educated, professionals and their families. The Round Hill Country Club is located on Alamo’s Eastside and offers aquatics, a fitness center, golf, and tennis to its members. Alamo also has public parks, open spaces, and miles of trails that are favorite spots for picnicking, hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The Iron Horse trail on Alamo’s Westside connects Alamo with Walnut Creek to the North and Danville to its South.

Homes in Alamo range from gracious homes looking out over the golf course at Round Hill Country Club to contemporary hillside homes or gentrified equestrian properties further East near Green Valley. The choices in Alamo are many and varied – e.g., a custom home in a gated community, a country estate, or a tastefully appointed contemporary home with a view. Real estate in the Alamo can offer a gracious lifestyle. Although Alamo is a bedroom community of predominately single-family residences, there are a few townhouses and condominium choices conveniently located West of Hwy 680 and close to the center of town.
